9.3 Reflection Blog: Final Post

Throughout this course, I’ve been able to reflect on my personal ethical framework and how there are alignments and gaps between the organizations I associate with. I’ve examined my company’s ethics, the organizations where I volunteer, and even the politicians I support. T his has allowed me to understand where I stand within ethical principles. A recurring theme I’ve found in my ethical leadership framework is how I highly consider the common good and include others. This is also reflected in how cohesive an organization’s ethical framework functions. We’ve learned how much teamwork is used to create cohesion and collaboration so that everyone’s ideas are shared (Mercader et al., 2021). This realization allows me to combine my personal value of inclusivity and the ethical practices of teamwork.   Some changes I’d like to make to my own ethical framework is my loyalty to companies and politicians. I’d like to be more cautious of my spending habits and who is profiting o...

Bubbles is a 10-year-old Malti-poo and Charlie is a 5-year-old French bulldog. During my free time I enjoy traveling, going on walks, trying different coffeeshops, reading, going to the beach, and visiting family. I am currently not involved in any activities at Embry-Riddle; however, I am employed by ERAU worldwide. My career goal is to work with a special education department to identify or design quality educational programs that incorporate various learning modalities and techniques. My previous experience with an assessment team allowed me to recognize the significant gap in services and the challenges families face in finding appropriate support and getting it approved by their insurance. Unfortunately, special education services have increasingly prioritized cost-effectiveness over being child focused. Through this course, I aim to deepen my und...

I recently finished the myriad of training required to do that and just moved from North Carolina to Europe for an overseas assignment. My big career goals mainly involve continuing to better myself and others around me, and I hope to do that with help from these courses.  From this class, I hope to learn new perspectives from diverse sets of viewpoints and gain a more in-depth understanding of the role of ethics i...
